WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR:

Cox Engineering is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Process Pipe Estimator to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a key role in our estimating department, specializing in accurately evaluating and pricing process piping projects. This individual will work closely with our project teams to ensure precise and competitive estimates, contributing to the success and growth of our operations.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 2 years of Process Pipe estimating experience preferred; or 5 years of relevant pipe trade experience in the mechanical construction industry
  • Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering, Construction Management or equivalent; preferred but not required
  • Demonstrated estimating experience in mechanical process piping or relevant pipe trade estimating experience
  • Experience within more or one of the following sectors: Pharmaceutical, Life Science, Manufacturing, Industrial, Food & Beverage or Water & Wastewater markets
  • Estimating software experience
  • Revit, 3D model experience is a plus
  • Must have excellent Microsoft Office Skills, specifically Word and Excel
  • Proven ability to work closely and efficiently with clients and co-workers in a professional, business environment

  • Developing cost estimates based on the scope of work, including materials, labor, and equipment.
  • Collaborating with project managers and other team members to identify opportunities to reduce costs
  • Conducting site visits to gather information and assess project requirements.
  • Communicating with subcontractors and vendors to obtain pricing and availability information for materials and equipment.
  • Preparing and submitting bid proposals, including detailed cost breakdowns and project timelines.
