Your tasks

We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical PPI Applications Engineer to join our team in Chihuahua, Mexico. In this role, you will be responsible to select the product to perform properly in each customer application, it is part of the responsibility get the Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) with the different customers as well of the implementation and industrialization of the products in the production areas ensuring quality controls.

  • Develop and implement PPI procedures and documentation for new and existing products
  • Analyze customer applications, interpret technical drawings, specifications, and quality requirements to select the appropriate product.
  • Design and draw in 3D software molds and tooling for new products
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve quality issues and improve manufacturing processes
  • Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions for non-conforming parts
  • Prepare and present technical reports and recommendations to management and clients
  • Stay up-to-date with industry standards and regulations, ensuring compliance in all processes
  • Provide technical support and training to production teams on PPI-related topics
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and product quality
  • Occasionally travel to client sites or manufacturing facilities as needed

Your profile

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Industrial, or related field)
  • Advanced English & Spanish
  • Experience:
  • Rubber industry (mandatory)
  • Analyzing machinery drives and pulleys-belts systems to transfer power is highly preferred.
  • In a similar role or related field, preferably in the automotive or manufacturing industry
  • Manufacturing processes and quality control systems
  • Knowledge:
  • Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) or relevant industry standards
  • CAD software, 3D designing ( Mechanical)
  • Problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Read and interpret technical drawings and specifications
  • Industry-specific regulations and standards
  • Willingness to travel occasionally as required by the role
