POSITION OVERVIEW

We are seeking a Process Safety Engineer to join our team on a part-time basis for a 6-month contract. This is a unique opportunity to contribute your expertise in process safety to support our ongoing engineering and compliance initiatives within the pharmaceutical manufacturing sector.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering or related discipline.
  • At least 5 years of experience in process safety engineering, preferably in the pharmaceutical or chemical industry.
  • Familiarity with international process safety regulations and standards (e.g., OSHA PSM, CCPS, API).
  • Experience with PHA methodologies such as HAZOP, LOPA, and SIL assessments.
  • Able to commit to a 3-day work week.
Responsibilities
  • Review and update existing Process Safety Management (PSM) documentation.
  • Conduct risk assessments (e.g., HAZOP, What-If, FMEA) in collaboration with cross-functional teams.
  • Support implementation and follow-up of safety recommendations and corrective actions.
  • Evaluate and advise on process safety aspects during engineering design changes and operations.
  • Assist in preparing and delivering safety training and awareness materials.
