Opportunity (Process Science Research Intern – Pilot Team | Summer 2026) Under the guidance of process engineers and research associates, you will support research and process development activities within our Pilot Team. This internship provides hands-on exposure to early-stage process development and scale-up efforts supporting cell therapy programs in a collaborative and fast-paced environment. This project will contribute to building and optimizing cell therapy processes within the organization while giving you the opportunity to strengthen your experimental design, analytical thinking, and project management skills. The ideal candidate is curious, detail-oriented, and proactive, with a strong desire to learn and contribute meaningfully to scientific and operational advancements. Program Details * Duration: 8-10-week program   * Schedule: Up to 32 hours per week * Compensation: $24 per hour Key Responsibilities * Assist in the development and optimization of novel cell therapy processes * Conduct research and gather data to support process development and continuous improvement * Collaborate with process engineers and associates to design experiments and analyze results * Perform hands-on laboratory work, including cell culture, sample preparation, and data analysis * Maintain accurate, detailed, and organized experimental records * Support maintenance of laboratory equipment and inventory of supplies * Participate in team meetings and contribute ideas to improve processes and workflows * Stay informed on industry trends and advancements in cell therapy and related technologies * Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a clean, organized laboratory environment * Communicate progress, results, and challenges clearly with team members * Take initiative to learn new techniques and expand technical skillsets * Represent Neurona Therapeutics in a professional and positive manner at all times * Embrace a culture of continuous learning, collaboration, and continuous improvement Knowledge, Skills & Abilities * Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and developing project management capabilities * Ability to follow detailed laboratory protocols and document work accurately * Effective communication and teamwork skills * Basic data analysis and problem-solving skills * Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) Basic Qualifications * Must be a currently enrolled undergraduate student pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Biology, Biochemistry, Biomedical Sciences, Biomedical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related STEM field * Completed relevant coursework in biology, cell biology, molecular biology, or engineering Preferred Qualifications * Prior laboratory experience, including cell culture or molecular biology techniques * Familiarity with sterile technique and basic lab equipment * Exposure to process development concepts or data analysis tools is a plus Work Environment & Physical Requirements * Work is performed in laboratory and office settings * Ability to lift up to 20 lbs * No travel required This job description is not exhaustive and not intended to cover all activities of the position.
