Job Overview: As a Shift Lead Supervisor you will be responsible for overseeing the production activities and personnel on your designated shift. You will play a pivotal role in ensuring the efficient operation of injection molding machines, maintaining quality standards, and promoting a culture of safety and teamwork. Your leadership and management skills will be instrumental in driving performance, fostering employee engagement, and achieving production targets.  Key Responsibilities: * Supervise and coordinate the activities of machine operators, technicians, and other production personnel to optimize workflow and meet production schedules.  * Assign tasks, establish priorities, and provide direction to ensure that production targets and quality objectives are achieved.  * Monitor production processes, equipment performance, and material usage to identify opportunities for improvement and implement corrective actions as needed.  * Enforce adherence to quality standards, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and regulatory requirements to ensure the production of high-quality plastic components.  * Conduct regular inspections of molded parts, process parameters, and production documentation to verify compliance with specifications and quality criteria.  * Investigate quality issues, non-conformances, and customer complaints, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement corrective and preventive measures.  * Train new employees on machine operation, safety protocols, and quality procedures to ensure competency and compliance with company standards.  * Provide ongoing coaching, feedback, and performance evaluations to team members to support their professional development and promote a culture of continuous learning.  * Identify training needs and facilitate skill development initiatives to enhance the capabilities and effectiveness of the production team.  * Communicate production goals, performance targets, and operational changes to team members to foster alignment and accountability.  * Collaborate with other shift supervisors, production managers, and support staff to coordinate activities, share best practices, and address cross-functional issues.  * Serve as a liaison between frontline employees and upper management, conveying feedback, concerns, and suggestions for process improvement.  * Promote a culture of safety awareness and adherence to safety regulations by enforcing safety policies, conducting safety audits, and addressing safety concerns promptly.  * Investigate accidents, near misses, and safety incidents, and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence and mitigate risks to personnel and equipment.  * Participate in safety committees, training sessions, and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance safety performance and cultivate a safe working environment.  * Perform other related duties as assigned. Qualifications: * High school diploma or equivalent; bachelor's degree in engineering or related field preferred.  * Previous experience in a supervisory or leadership role in a manufacturing environment, preferably in plastics injection molding.  * Demonstrated leadership abilities, including the ability to motivate, coach, and develop team members to achieve performance goals.  * Strong technical aptitude and understanding of injection molding processes, equipment operation, and quality management systems.  * Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to communicate effectively at all levels of the organization.  * Proficiency in problem-solving, decision-making, and conflict resolution.  * Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices in industrial manufacturing.  * Flexibility to work rotating shifts and overtime as needed Desired Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: * Certain work cell jobs require data entry function into the computer system.  * Must have the knowledge to understand the OSHA and other federal and state regulations  * Ability to lift and carry between 10-50 lbs. consistently with a minimum of five to six times in an hour, and weights up to 200 lbs. using hand trucks.  * Ability to stand on feet for long periods  * This position requires repetitive reaching, stretching, lifting and twisting.  * Working conditions include some dust, dirt, noise, with restricted workspaces, but not to the point of being objectionable.    2nd Shift: 4:00pm - 12:00pm
