Description The Process Tech will be a key member of the team at our Montgomery, Illinois facility supporting multiple CNC machines processing plastic furniture components. This individual needs to be a self-starter who seeks out opportunities to improve the functionality of our manufacturing process. Requirements ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES Read technical drawings and set up the machines in accordance with the CAM setup documents. Direct floor support for CNC programming, including set-up and modifications of production machines. Perform quality assurance tests to ensure products meet design specifications. Adjust machine cutting paths or settings to optimize production while maintaining quality. Troubleshoot and resolve problems with machines as they arise. Perform basic machine maintenance such as cleaning and sharpening. Train new employees on how to properly operate CNC machines and programs. Performs other duties as assigned. REQUIRED SKILLS/ABILITIES Previous experience working in a manufacturing setting. Previous experience working as a CNC technician. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. Familiarity and skill with interpreting technical drawings and blueprints. Some experience with CAM software. Master CAM a plus. Basic understanding of G and M codes. Skilled at troubleshooting and resolving mechanical or logistical problems that arise. Ability to work independently and closely follow directions is essential. Should have a positive and professional attitude. EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE Associate degree in CNC programming, a computer-related field or a mechanical field desired. 5+ years of CNC technical/operations experience preferred. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer. Must be able to lift 15 KG at times. Must be able to access and navigate all areas in the facility and access all machinery.
