We are seeking a skilled Process Technician to support our injection molding operations through mold setup, machine troubleshooting, and programming/adjusting of automated robotics. This individual must possess strong troubleshooting and root cause analysis skills, a proactive mindset for problem solving, and a bias for action in resolving technical issues quickly and effectively. Safety first mindset. Ensure all safety features are functioning, such as drop bar and safety switches. Maximize uptimes on all machine centers with the objective of reducing and eliminating downtime. Set molds, startup and troubleshoot injection molding process. Document all process parameters on documents to the Master Setup Sheets. Ensure all process parameters and mold protection settings meet process specifications. Make necessary adjustments to prevent part defects. Respond to all Quality and Operator issues regarding parts and processes. Maintain and improve manufacturing efficiencies. Drive reduction of scrap through elimination of mold conditions using corrective action and mold maintenance forms. Maintain a neat and clean environment at all times. Identify maintenance concerns/issues and assist with resolution. Participate in mold change activities to reduce downtime and to increase uptime and throughput. Assist with training Process Technicians and Operators when needed. Requirements Mold setting experience and capability required. Resin knowledge required. 2+ years of injection molding processing experience preferred. Good mechanical ability and aptitude is essential. Knowledgeable of 3-Axis programming preferred. Must be willing to stay current with technology through continuing education. Frequently required to stand; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; and reach with hands and arms. Occasionally required to sit; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, or crouch. Lift and/or move up to 50 pounds occasionally.
Responsibilities
The Process Technician will support injection molding operations by setting up molds, troubleshooting machines, and programming automated robotics. They will also document process parameters and ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.
