Description Purpose: The Process Technician is responsible for start-up and troubleshooting of existing jobs, and direction of workstation set-up and effectiveness. Will aid in determining process ability to establish the largest process window while meeting customer specifications and profitability. Duties & Responsibilities: Ability to perform all duties of Set-Up Technician Interacts with all departments to recommend, implement and follow through processing problems and maintaining optimum process conditions Machine start-up and shutdowns of plastic injection molding machines Communication with shift personnel, for continual equipment effectiveness and reliability Initiate action to prevent the occurrence of any nonconformities relating to product, process and quality systems Assist in training of Set-Up Tech personnel Perform other duties as required Requirements Work Experience: Minimum one (1) year knowledge and experience in Process Technician position Minimum one (1) year knowledge and experience in Set-Up Technician position Working knowledge of injection molding machines and auxiliary equipment. Working knowledge of process troubleshooting and mold setting Must be able to work 2nd shift Skills Required: Basic Skills consisting of reading, writing, mathematics, speaking and listening. Thinking Skills consisting of creative thinking, problem solving skills, decision making skills and visualization. People Skills consisting of social, leadership and teamwork. Educational Requirements: Prefer High School diploma or equivalent. 3 – 5 years' experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
