Description American Plastics, headquartered in St. Louis, Missouri, is a leading designer and manufacturer of innovative plastic-injection molded products for the household & garage storage and commercial cleaning end-markets. We are searching for a Process Technician for our Kingman, AZ location. This position will report to the Production Manager. Monitor and maintain standard cycle times and part quality Be able to understand and communicate the information provided within the job packet pertaining to specification sheet, standard routing, B.O.M.’s, scrap reports and quality requirements Be able to identify all resins used in molding operation including regrind and the associated usage percentage Must understand and operate the operator interface ‘CRT’ screen on computer-controlled presses, including all screens required to control the process Must be able to establish a new process, do mold sets, Robot Programming and start a machine based upon settings in Mold Books/QR Code. Demonstrate a basic knowledge and understanding of hot runner systems, Valve Gates, and standard sprue molds Trouble shoot issues on Injection Molding machines and Robots. Other duties as assigned by Management Fixed Schedule: All (4) shifts A, B, C, D are scheduled on a 2/2/3. This schedule gives you a 3-day weekend every other week! The schedule pattern consists of four 12-Hour shifts who work two days in a row, get two days off and then work another three days, which results in only 14 working days each month! Requirements At least 18 years of age Eligible to work in the United States of America Pass a Pre-Employment Drug Screen & Authorize Background Check Must be able to work a 12-Hour Shift Knowledge of operating the following Injection molding machines a must, such as: Engel, Milacron, Battenfeld, UBE and HPM’s Knowledge with Wittman and Servpro Robots preferred. Organized, detail oriented, team player with a sense of urgency Resourceful, with ability to apply critical problem-solving skills Effective Communication Skills Applicant must have 2 plus years’ experience as a process tech in injection molding or similar process Follow departmental documentation procedures 5S and Lock Out Tag Out experience preferred Benefits: If you are interested in joining the American Plastics team and want to work in a fast-paced, progressive environment, we want to hear from you. Responsibilities

The Process Technician will be responsible for monitoring and maintaining standard cycle times and ensuring part quality by operating computer-controlled presses and establishing new processes, including mold sets and robot programming. This role also requires troubleshooting issues on Injection Molding machines and Robots as assigned by management.
