Company Description Gerresheimer is an innovative systems and solutions provider for pharmaceutical primary packaging, drug delivery systems, medical devices and associated service, and as such a strategic partner for the global pharma and biotech industry. www.gerresheimer.com Job Description Systematic problem solving and optimization of all injection molding tasks (man, machine, method, environment, material) including the sustainable implementation of corrective measures in the event of repeated errors to ensure trouble-free production operations. Setting up and operating injection molding machines to produce plastic parts. Following all aspects of processing safety protocol. Changing out molds, completing setups, and repairing molds. Monitoring and preparing support equipment, such as dryers, color feeders, etc. Responsible for cleanliness of department and all processing equipment. Perform Mold cleaning and process documentation. Contribute to highly productive, efficient, and team-oriented work environment. Work with Team Leader on line clearance and 5S. Communicate effectively with production personnel, supervisors, and engineers to ensure quality. Maintain good documentation practices. Cooperation with internal production areas and other interfaces (e.g. injection molding, quality, TCC/SEC, PCU, etc.) Participation in FMEAs according to specifications Participation in machine and peripheral specifications Support of transfer projects according to specifications Internal contact person (e.g. for managers, customer service...) Depending on the project focus: Assumption of the PLP role in projects with TCC/SEC Qualifications High school diploma or GED required; technical certificate or associate’s degree in manufacturing or plastics a plus. 2+ years of experience working in injection molding or a similar production environment. Hands-on knowledge of operating, setting up, and troubleshooting injection molding machines. Basic understanding of process improvement and production workflows. Comfortable using computer systems such as MES, SAP, and Microsoft Office. Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to learn technical processes quickly. Familiarity with quality checks and following standard operating procedures. Problem-solving skills and ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced setting. Additional Information 3+ years of hands-on experience in injection molding. A working knowledge and experience with injection molding and ancillary equipment A working knowledge of a wide range of thermoplastic materials and their properties Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail Familiarity with injection molding machines and robots clean room working environment 12 hour shift work is required on a 2:2:3 basis company health benefits, 401k, incentive bonuses
