THE ROLE

We are hiring an experienced Senior Mill Operator to perform the critical role of Process Technician within our processing department!
This role involves managing and monitoring all plant operations, including the operation of the flotation circuit and maintaining concentrate grades and recoveries.
Candidates who have Lead and Zinc floatation experience will be highly regarded.
We prefer candidates who already reside in Cobar, but we’re happy to provide up to $10,000 in relocation support to help you settle locally. Please note, FIFO and DIDO are not available for this role.
Roster: 7/7 (Day & Night Shift)
Location: Peak Mine - Cobar NSW

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Monitor and adjust reagents, air levels and other parameters in the flotation circuit to maintain production targets for grade and recovery
• Work with metallurgists to optimise flotation performance
• Use the Citect system to monitor and manage grinding, flotation, thickening and tailings circuits
• Communicate with operators and maintenance teams to address any issues and respond to alarms
• Maintain critical settings such as pH, cyanide and dissolved oxygen levels for leach and absorption sections
• Log plant performance data and report to the shift supervisor
• Keep the control room and surrounding areas clean and organised
• Ensure all supplies are stocked for the shift
• Respond promptly to unplanned shutdowns and assist in restoring operationsPerform routine maintenance tasks as required
