About the role Ready to get hands-on in a fast-paced, high-tech manufacturing environment? We’re looking for Process Technicians to join our Consumer Plant across UHT, Fresh line and Cool store  UHT - Keep our packaging lines running at pace. You’ll operate case packers, sleevers and palletisers, ensuring smooth flow, consistent output, and top-tier quality and safety. Roster is 4 on (days only), 4 off.  Fresh line - Work at the cutting edge of automation. You’ll run and monitor our fresh milk bottling plant, delivering quality products to supermarkets across the South Island. Roster is 6 on, (3 days, 3 afternoons), 3 off. Cool store - Own your space in this hands-on, independent role. You’ll operate and monitor plant equipment in the cool store, keeping performance high and product flowing. Roster is 4 on (2 days, 2 nights), 4 off. However, if you don't have this background, we still encourage you to apply! This role is also well suited to individuals with a strong mechanical aptitude, a trades background, or a degree in science, engineering, or a related discipline who are keen to apply their skills in a manufacturing environment. * Mechanical aptitude to understand and operate our equipment  * Ideally you will have well developed problem solving and fault-finding experience with a minimum of 2 years in the dairy, food or other relevant manufacturing industry * Thorough with good attention to detail  * Problem-solving and fault-finding skills  * Self-motivated and proactive   * Demonstrate a strong understanding of processes  * A NZ Diploma in Dairy Processing is highly regarded in this role   About us – The Synlait Spirit    Synlait is more than a global leader in milk nutrition – we're a purpose-led team that’s Doing Milk Differently For A Healthier World. Our Synlait Spirit guides everything we do, from how we show up each day to the impact we create together.
