He whakamārama mō te tūranga mahi | About the role This role will be based in the Southern Wastewater area including the main hubs Pukekohe and Beachlands and be responsible for the operation of the Southern Area Regional Wastewater Treatment Plants on a rotational roster. The successful applicant will work within a small team and become responsible for operating the wastewater treatment process to meet environmental, process and regulatory requirements Monitor processes and take appropriate action as required Coordinate WSL staff and contractors on site, to allow work to be carried out in a safe manner Work with Process Engineers to identify areas for improvement Oversee and perform minor maintenance and project tasks Sample collection and onsite analysis Being able to work unsupervised but also within a small team environment Capture data and complete log sheets/reports A varied range of other duties and inspections to ensure the safe, efficient and effective operation of the plant. Being a member of the roster for the on-call response to after-hours critical alarms Ngā pūkenga e rapu nei mātou | About you To be successful in this role, you will ideally have water/wastewater industry experience and a background of plant operation in a high volume, continuous process industry such as the Dairy or Petrochemical industries.
