Brendma Australia (BMA Belting) is looking for a suitable candidate to join our fabrication and onsite installation team. The position advertised is permanent full time, one located in Dandenong VIC. The job on offer is niche, and full fabrication training will be provided to the successful applicant.
ABOUT US:
Brendma Australia is a 100% Australian privately & family operated business. Our company imports high quality lightweight conveyor belting from a variety of overseas suppliers to create bespoke fabricated products in Australia. When required, our finished product necessitates onsite installation onto conveyors around Melbourne and regional Victoria. We are predominately specialised within the processed food, beverage, building material and logistic centre industries.
THE FOLLOWING SKILLS WILL BE HIGHLY REGARDED:
· Forklift license
· Experience working with conveyors and their componentry
· Stanley knife skills
· Measuring capabilities
· Previous mechanical and workshop experience
· Problem Solving
· Good communication skills
· Australian Driving License and flexibility to travel around Victoria Metro and regional areas

ABOUT THE ROLE ON OFFER:
Reporting directly to the Workshop Foreman and supported by the State Manager, your primary objectives will be:
· Perform unique fabrications within strict tolerances using state-of-the-art machinery and trade secret techniques (full training provided).
· Complete onsite installations of conveyor belting at some of Australia’s largest food production companies. After hours and weekend work when required.
· Attend to breakdown requirements and resolve urgent situations for clients.
· Perform different splicing and vulcanising techniques on a vast range of belting materials (full training provided).
TO BE SUCCESSFUL IN THIS ROLE YOU WILL BE REQUIRED TO:
· Perform all tasks with a high regard for safety towards yourself and your team members.
· Follow instructions effectively and coordinate all activities with the workshop supervisor.
· Maintain strict housekeeping standards within the fabrication workshop and onsite within customers production facilities
· Work within a HACCP environment
· Ensure all work areas / machines are clean at the end of each fabrication or installation.
· Be able to work independently and as part of a team.
· Have good communication skills.
· Be highly motivated
· Attention to detail
· Outstanding work ethic
· A team member
· Interest in learning new skills within the conveyor belting industry and incorporating your new skills with existing fitting techniques.
· Be prepared to work after hours and weekends on urgent breakdowns (if required)
