Description

Our Processing Operators are critical to success at FritoLay! Our Process Operators are responsible for operating process-related equipment and plant process control systems in a safe and environmentally responsible manner. Although you will start out as a Process Operator for FritoLay, we are investing in helping you grow with us. This job can open the door to career opportunities with us or our parent company, PepsiCo. In this role, here are some of the frequent tasks you will be doing:

  • Monitoring process equipment and conditions using process control and process information systems (e. g. , process levels, temperatures, pressures and flow rates)
  • Collecting and reporting plant measurements related to performance, asset utilization, quality, and costs yields
  • Performing analytical checks, adjusting control systems, and manually operated equipment based on process and lab data
  • Determining root causes of deviations in process, product or equipment performance through use of troubleshooting and Root Cause Analysis
  • Performing process equipment troubleshooting, routine equipment repairs, improvements and preventative maintenance

We are open 24 hours a day, which means you may not have a typical schedule, and our jobs are physical! If you have never worked in a warehouse or manufacturing environment before, you should understand that you will be on your feet for a majority of your shift around loud equipment. Here are the minimum qualifications of this job:

  • You are at least 18 years of age or older
  • You will be required to work on weekends, holidays as well as off shift
  • You are able to lift up to 50 lbs from floor to waist (e.g. a twin-size mattress) with or without a reasonable accommodation
  • You are able to stand and walk for extended periods of time with or without a reasonable accommodation
  • You are able to climb, bend, reach, stoop, kneel, and stretch for extended periods with or without a reasonable accommodation
  • You are able to repeatedly lift, carry, push, pull, and handle products with or without a reasonable accommodation
  • You are willing and able to work at heights using ladders or lifts to access areas of the plant
