Responsibilities:
THE ROLE:
Reporting to the Processing Manager, you will be responsible for supervising a shift and coordinating the daily activities within our new prawn processing facility. You will provide direction, assistance, and support to your team, ensuring production targets and KPIs are consistently met while maintaining the highest standards of safety and quality.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Lead and motivate a large team to achieve daily production targets and KPIs.
- Champion a strong safety culture, ensuring “no job is so important that it cannot be done safely,” and consistently comply with the Occupational Health and Safety Escalation of Risk Policy and the 8 Golden Safety Rules.
- Oversee the efficient flow of product through the processing facility.
- Manage quality assurance and customer service outcomes through careful attention to correct labelling, monitoring box conditions, and product temperature.
- Ensure all controlled documents (including hygiene sheets, QA sheets, and transfer certificates) are accurate and up-to-date.
- Provide strong leadership by maintaining personal performance, standards, and behaviour in line with our Code of Conduct.
- Collaborate with the management team to ensure production plan targets are met.
ROLE REQUIREMENTS:
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a supervisory position within a processing environment or similar.
- Previous experience in a seafood or food processing environment is highly desirable.
- Demonstrated experience in delivering operational outcomes.
- Key competencies: Leadership, Zero Harm focus, Quality/Results Orientation, Judgement, and Problem-Solving skills.
- Experience in the Fast-Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) industry is advantageous.
- Computer literacy with strong written and verbal communication skills.
- The legal right to work in Australia.
