With locations in Michigan, Indiana, and Pennsylvania, Herbruck's supplies nearly 3 billion farm-fresh eggs and 55 million pounds of liquid egg product to retailers and foodservice outlets across the nation annually. Our flock has grown from 3,000 egg-laying hens in the late 1950s to 10+ million today. Position Summary: This position is responsible for leading employees within their department. This position assigns work, ensures accuracy and completion of work tasks of the employees, and recommends improvements for production methods, operating procedures, and working conditions. Position Responsibilities: Responsible for oversight of all egg process including proper washing, inspection, grading and packing. Ensuring equipment is in good working condition and performing at it’s best. Organize workflow and ensure that employees are trained and understand their duties Delegate work to employees, track progress, and provide feedback through dialog, performance/disciplinary reviews as needed Manage departmental performance measures Ensure operators are following GMP and food safety practices Approves employee daily timesheets and PTO requests Completes and reviews with employees their performance as needed and including 90 day and annual reviews Follow all company safety practices and rules and ensure the safe use of equipment. Provide reports and updates to management. Other duties as assigned by management. Does not own or maintain regular contact with pigs, birds or cattle, sheep, goats or unprocessed eggs. Essential Skills and Experience: Primarily assigned to a shift but will require flexibility and include weekend and holiday work. Qualifications: 2-3 years’ experience in similar role is preferred. Reporting to the position: Operators Physical Demands and Work Environment: Ability to remain standing and/or walking for extended periods of time on concrete and/or uneven floors. Ability to stoop, bend, climb, and lift at least 25 lbs. frequently throughout the day. May be assigned to environmental areas of high noise, wet floors, dusty conditions, etc. Work will involve differing temperatures from coolers to constant temp processing floor, wet and slippery floors

Responsibilities

The Processing Team Lead is responsible for overseeing all egg processing operations, including washing, inspection, grading, and packing. They will also manage workflow, delegate tasks, and ensure compliance with safety and food safety practices.
