PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

The successful candidate will need to be adaptable and a creative problem solver with the ability to liaise and work alongside several functional subject areas to help develop and form the strategic supply chain approach to support the programme.

  • Related work experience working within a Supply Chain Management/ Procurement related role ideally within Information Services category
  • Experience and knowledge of Information Service contracts and software licence procurement and licencing models
  • Experience with drafting and placement of Purchase Orders and management of suppliers
  • Experience supporting cross-functional teams
  • Experience working with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
  • High attention to detail and consistent track record in leading multiple, contending priorities simultaneously
  • Ability to obtain UK SC security clearance
  • Interpersonal skills and customer focus are essential to be successful in the role

DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Experience in Defence Industry and Information Systems
  • 5+ years of experience in the related field
  • CIPS – Level 4 or working towards.

ROLE OVERVIEW

An exciting opportunity has arisen within Boeing Defence UK Supply Chain team!
We are looking for dynamic and ambitious Procurement professionals to join the Boeing UK Digital Programme Supplier Management & Procurement Team.
The successful candidate will be a key interface for the Supplier Management and Procurement function acting as an authorised agent of the company with responsibility for managing all end-to-end supplier related activities and have the authority to commit company resources through contracts and agreements.
Please note: this role is subject to successful Contract Award.
This is an on-site based role in Bristol, with flexibility for occasional remote working at the discretion of the management team.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Implement Supplier management and procurement best practice ensuring compliance with associated Boeing processes
  • Contribute to the overall Supply Chain solution development to meet customer product and in-service requirements
  • Contribute to the supply chain architecture, support internal make buy strategies and work share decisions to best meet the customer needs
  • Creation of the supply chain architecture strategy and support internal make buy strategies and workshare decisions to best meet the customer needs
  • Support development of bid packages including supplier source selection and proposal evaluation (in compliance with the Boeing Enterprise Standard Gated Process)
  • Establish flexible and innovative contracting strategies in line with agile practices
  • Negotiate pricing and contract terms and conditions including software licence terms
  • Prepare, review and implement negotiated contractual documents and binding agreements including Proprietary Information Agreements
  • Conduct risk, issue and opportunity management
  • Support the management of supplier schedules, quality delivery and financial performance
  • Initiates and completes supplier improvement activities and integrates results into contracting strategies
  • Provide strategic and transactional support to the purchase of goods and services where required
  • Support the development and maintenance of relationships and partnerships with senior collaborators, peers and relevant functional areas
  • Attendance as required at workshops, meetings, and supplier visits (including engagement with new/existing suppliers)
