WHY THIS ROLE?

Cohere seeks a highly motivated and detail-oriented Procurement Analyst with 3-5 years of work experience to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in supporting our procurement process, ensuring compliance with our policies and financial objectives, whilst enabling velocity within a growing company. This position requires a proactive and autonomous individual who can manage day-to-day tasks, serve as a first point of contact for requestors, and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and vendors.

IN THIS INTERMEDIATE LEVEL ROLE YOU WILL:

  • Procurement Process Support: Assist in overseeing the end-to-end procurement process, from identifying needs to finalizing contracts. This involves managing requests in our procurement tool, researching and evaluating potential suppliers, supporting RFx processes, and maintaining accurate records of purchases (including PO processing).
  • Contract Negotiation and Compliance Support: Assist in negotiating procurement contracts, ensuring the best prices and terms for the company whilst complying with company policies and applicable laws, rules, and procedures.
  • Cost Reporting and Budget Management Support: Generate regular cost reports, providing insights into spending patterns and identifying cost-saving opportunities. You will work closely with the FP&A team to ensure that procurement activities align with budgetary constraints.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration Support: Act as a liaison between internal departments and suppliers, facilitating effective communication and ensuring that procurement activities support the broader business objectives. You will also provide technical support and guidance to other departments on procurement-related matters.
  • First Point of Contact: Serve as the primary point of contact for requestors, handling routine tasks independently and ensuring that all procurement requests are processed efficiently and accurately.
