Company Overview
We are a rapidly growing B2B e-commerce company in the packaging industry, serving clients across Canada in the food service, bakery, and retail sectors. As we continue to expand our online product catalog, we are seeking a data-driven Procurement Analyst to ensure our product assortment meets customer needs and remains competitive in the market.
Key Responsibilities
Review and analyze the online product assortment to identify high-performing, low-performing, and missing product categories.
Conduct product assortment gap analysis for the e-commerce channel and provide optimization recommendations based on customer demand and competitor insights.
Source and evaluate suppliers to fill product gaps, negotiate prices and terms, and ensure quality standards are met.
Collaborate with the marketing team to align new product launches with promotional campaigns.
Monitor inventory trends to prevent stockouts and minimize excess or obsolete inventory.
Qualifications
1. Education & Experience
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience (business, supply chain management, e-commerce, or related fields preferred).
2–3 years of proven experience in procurement analysis, preferably within an e-commerce or B2B product sourcing environment.
Experience working with online product assortments, supplier management, inventory optimization, and cost control is a strong asset.
2. Skills
Proficiency in e-commerce platforms such as Shopify, Amazon, or other B2B marketplaces.
Strong data analysis skills, with the ability to interpret sales and market data to make informed purchasing and product assortment decisions.
Solid knowledge of supplier sourcing, price negotiation, and vendor relationship management to ensure cost-effectiveness and quality standards.
Familiarity with Google Analytics, inventory management tools, and competitive market analysis to support strategic decision-making.
Fluent in English; proficiency in Mandarin or Cantonese is considered an asset due to supplier and client communication needs.
