PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Entry-level experience, with an interest (in procurement and data analytics.)
  • Current college student, pursuing a degree in Business Administration, Finance, and/or Public Administration highly preferred.
  • High level of technical proficiency, particularly working with Microsoft platforms, primarily Excel and pivot tables.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication/presentation skills (both verbal and written) and the ability to manage multiple projects with various deadlines simultaneously.
  • Excellent analytical skills, good reasoning abilities, and execution of sound judgments
  • Experience performing data entry and processing high volumes of information and the ability to work on multiple projects concurrently.

For Assignment Level I:
Matriculation at an accredited college or graduate school. Employment is conditioned upon continuance as a student in a college or graduate school.
For Assignment Level II (Information Technology):
Matriculation at an accredited college or graduate school. Employment is conditioned upon continuance as a student in a college or graduate school with a specific course of study in information technology, computer science, management information systems, data processing, or closely related field, including or supplemented by 9 semester credits in an acceptable course of study.
For Assignment Level III (Information Technology Fellow):
Matriculation at an accredited college or graduate school. Employment is conditioned upon continuance as a student in a college or graduate school with a specific course of study in information technology, computer science, management information systems, data processing, or other area relevant to the information technology project(s) assigned, including or supplemented by 9 semester credits in an acceptable course of study. Appointments to this Assignment Level will be made by the Technology Steering Committee through the Department of Information Technology and Telecommunications.

Responsibilities
  • Processing purchase orders and requisitions.
  • Maintain and update procurement status reports and database.
  • Prepare and analyze procurement data.
  • Assist with managing and tracking purchase requisitions, purchase order, and contract.
  • Support Requests for Proposals (RFP), the bid solicitation, and awardee process.
  • Work closely with other departments to ensure contractual agreements are met.
  • Assist in managing and maintaining strong vendor relationships.
  • Assist Operations and Finance staff with any special projects.
