Job Title: Procurement Analyst Supervisor’s Title: Director Supply Chain Department: Supply Chain Location: 2510 Snow Road, Suite 2 Lansing, MI 48917 Job Description The Procurement Analyst at TemperPack is responsible for analyzing and managing the procurement of materials and services directly and indirectly associated with company operations. The Procurement Analyst requires a strong understanding of supply chain management and the ability to identify and mitigate risks associated with procurement. TemperPack is committed to environmentally friendly solutions, and as such the Procurement Analyst must be knowledgeable about sustainable materials and vendors. The ideal candidate will possess excellent analytical skills, be detail-oriented, and have the ability to communicate effectively with both internal teams and external vendors. Essential Job Functions: Manage procurement processes: The Procurement Analyst is responsible for managing procurement processes, including identifying and evaluating potential vendors, negotiating contracts and pricing, and ensuring timely delivery of goods and services. Analyze procurement data: The Procurement Analyst is responsible for analyzing procurement data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for cost savings and process improvements. Monitor supplier performance: The Procurement Analyst is responsible for monitoring supplier performance, including quality, delivery, and compliance with contractual obligations. Maintain procurement records: The Procurement Analyst is responsible for issuing and maintaining procurement records, including contracts, purchase orders, and invoices. This includes entering PO’s into the ERP system. Collaborate with cross-functional teams: The Procurement Analyst collaborates with cross-functional teams, such as Engineering, Production, and Finance, to ensure that procurement activities support the company's strategic goals and objectives. Develop and implement procurement policies and procedures: The Procurement Analyst is responsible for developing and implementing procurement policies and procedures that support the company's goals and objectives. Monitor industry trends: The Procurement Analyst is responsible for monitoring industry trends and best practices to identify opportunities for innovation and cost savings. Cost Saving Initiatives: The Procurement Analyst should proactively identify areas within the organization where savings could be found.
