Procurement Analyst - Location: Vopak Terminals Sydney The Opportunity At Vopak, we connect the world through vital products. As a Procurement Officer, you will be the bridge between our operational needs and financial integrity. This is a high-impact role where you will manage the full Purchase-to-Pay (P2P) lifecycle, ensuring that every dollar spent aligns with our global standards, sustainability goals, and rigorous internal controls. Your Key Responsibilities 1. P2P Governance & Financial Integrity Serve as the guardian of the P2P domain, ensuring all activities comply with Vopak’s global financial policies. Manage the Procurement month-end process to ensure seamless and accurate financial reporting. Maintain and govern internal controls to mitigate risk and ensure audit readiness. 2. Strategic Sourcing & Operational Excellence Full Cycle Sourcing: Lead the RFQ process, process requisitions, and issue Purchase Orders (POs) with precision. Supplier Lifecycle Management: Own the end-to-end supplier journey—from initial onboarding and qualification checks to ongoing performance monitoring against KPIs. Negotiation & Contracting: Draft supplier agreements and actively negotiate pricing and terms to drive maximum value for the business. 3. Budgetary Oversight & Analysis Configure and manage budgets and project codes within our PTB system. Perform monthly "Actual vs. Committed" spend analysis. Act as a financial advisor to Project Managers by proactively flagging budget overruns and providing detailed status updates. 4. Stakeholder Partnership Act as the "go-to" point of contact for internal business units regarding purchasing needs. Support operational agility by sourcing new products and services on demand. Collaborate closely with Finance and Global Procurement teams on ad-hoc strategic projects. Who You Are Detail-Oriented Controller: You understand that procurement is as much about compliance and data integrity as it is about buying. Analytical Thinker: You are comfortable navigating complex project management systems and interpreting financial variances. Strong Communicator: You can navigate conversations with external vendors and internal Project Managers with equal ease and professionalism. Proactive Problem Solver: You don’t just report a budget overrun; you highlight it early and help find a solution. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Finance, Business, or a related field. Proven experience in P2P lifecycle management and internal controls. Proficiency in ERP systems (experience with PTB or similar project management tools is a plus). Strong understanding of contract drafting and negotiation.
