Job Title: Procurement Specialist – Public Sector (18-Month Contract)
Location: Burnaby, BC (2–3 Days/Week Onsite at Metrotown)
Contract Length: 18 Months (Opportunity for Extensions)

OVERVIEW

We are seeking an experienced Procurement Specialist to join a leading organization on an 18-month contract supporting major capital and infrastructure projects. This role is ideal for a skilled procurement professional with a strong background in public sector sourcing, contracts, and RFP management.
You’ll be working on a hybrid schedule (2–3 days/week onsite in Burnaby) and play a key role in end-to-end procurement for materials and services, liaising with both internal stakeholders and external vendors.

MUST-HAVE QUALIFICATIONS

  • 5+ years of hands-on experience in procurement and contract management
  • Strong public procurement experience (required – ideally in a Canadian public sector context)
  • Demonstrated experience leading end-to-end RFP processes
  • Background in capital projects procurement (materials and services)
  • Excellent communication skills; capable of working with technical teams, stakeholders, and suppliers
  • Legally authorized to work in Canada and experienced in the Canadian procurement landscape
Responsibilities
  • Manage full-cycle RFP processes for goods and services
  • Draft, review, and negotiate contracts in compliance with public procurement guidelines
  • Partner with Capital Project teams to source vendors for infrastructure and construction-related initiatives
  • Engage with internal departments to define scope, requirements, and timelines
  • Communicate with external vendors and ensure transparent, compliant sourcing practices
  • Maintain accurate procurement records and support audit readiness
