Description

Stratos Aircraft is developing a smaller jet aircraft, the all composite Stratos 716. It is designed to comfortably seat six people and baggage, cruise at 400 knots with a 1,500 nautical range. The 716 is among the first of a new class of personal jet aircraft. See www.stratosaircraft.com for more information.
Position: Procurement and Production Coordinator
In this position you will manage purchases and the inventory department. You will issue work orders to the various departments for part fabrication and assembly. You will create the work orders with instructions for fabrication in collaboration with the engineering department.
We are a small passionate team who are excited to be developing a new aircraft. This is a great opportunity to join a challenging and rewarding project. We are looking for an energetic person who will work well in a fast-paced environment. Relevant experience is great, but a superb attitude is more important for this position! You must be willing to learn, and we will provide training for the right candidate. This position requires consistent high-quality work and attention to detail. You must have a strong work ethic, be reliable, and self-motivated.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Excellent proficiency in typing
  • Strong PC computer skills
  • Knowledge of MRP systems is a plus but not mandatory. We use DBA Manufacturing Software.
  • Good communication skills and willing to help others as needed
  • Availability to work nights, weekends, holidays, and overtime, on occasion
  • Possession of a valid and current driver’s license
  • Ability to pass TSA background check, required for airport access
  • Ability to maintain discretion, confidentiality, and professionalism always
  • Ability to maintain a positive work attitude with an emphasis on teamwork. We are a small team that works closely together. We expect a positive attitude with willingness to put in extra effort when needed.
  • Proof of US citizenship or permanent residency.

Responsibilities
  • Procure and purchase parts, hardware, and supplies
  • Compile kits consisting of the parts and hardware for the various assemblies of the aircraft
  • Create work orders with the step-by-step processes for making parts and assemblies. We will train you in this process. Once completed, you will receive in and close the work orders.
  • Assist with the planning and coordination of resources for the machine shop, assembly shop and composite shop based on priority of the work orders
  • Providing feedback to engineering including review of drawings
  • Inventory control and management
