Job Description We are seeking a highly motivated Procurement Category Manager to lead strategic sourcing and supplier management activities across key logistics categories. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Own and drive category strategy for assigned Logistics categories (Ground, Air, Ocean Transportation, RMA/VMI/LC Warehousing, Brokerage Services), ensuring alignment with business objectives and supporting additional logistics scopes as needed Lead end-to-end sourcing activities, including RFx development, supplier engagement, bid analysis, negotiations, and award recommendations using eSourcing tools Analyze spend data, business requirements, and market trends to identify cost-saving opportunities, drive value, and mitigate supply and service risks Manage supplier performance through defined KPIs, and drive continuous improvement across the supply base Lead commercial negotiations and contract execution in close partnership with Legal and cross-functional stakeholders Act as the primary procurement point of contact for stakeholders, ensuring strong alignment and service delivery Partner closely with Logistics Operations, Accounts Payable, Legal, and other functions to ensure effective execution and compliance Lead supplier relationship management, including selection, qualification, governance, and performance reviews Prepare and lead quarterly and bi-annual business reviews, including supplier scorecards and performance tracking Manage ad-hoc sourcing activities, spot buys, and urgent operational requirements Track and communicate category performance, risks, and market developments to management Identify and implement process improvements across sourcing and category management activities Qualifications Preferred: Bachelor’s degree preferred; Master’s degree a plus. 3–5 years of experience in Procurement, Strategic Sourcing, or Logistics-related roles. Experience leading RFx events and supplier negotiations for services categories. Experience using eSourcing tools preferred. Skills: Demonstrated ability to independently manage a defined category end to end. Solid negotiation and analytical skills for services procurement. Strong stakeholder management and communication skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
