Responsibilities

ABOUT THE ROLE:

Are you passionate about sustainability and procurement? Do you want to make a real impact by embedding responsible sourcing practices within an international organization? We’re looking for a Sustainable Procurement Manager to lead and support our Buyers network and key stakeholders in integrating sustainability principles across procurement processes.

As the Sustainable Procurement Manager, you will be responsible for:

  • Champion Sustainability: Educate, onboard, and support Buyers and internal/external stakeholders on sustainability concepts, legislation, and processes.
  • Market Intelligence: Stay ahead of industry trends by tracking new sustainability standards, market developments, and professional associations.
  • Sustainable Procurement Targets: Monitor and manage key initiatives, including CO2 roadmaps, recycling strategies, supplier charters, external audits, and sustainability risk assessments.
  • Training & Enablement: Upskill Procurement and Purchasing teams on tools like Supplier Portal, ProCube, PowerBI, EcoVadis, and CO2 monitoring.
  • Strategic Leadership: Establish and manage a periodic Sustainable Procurement Steering Committee.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Engage with internal and external stakeholders to drive responsible procurement initiatives, success stories, and best practices.
  • Supplier Engagement: Organize supplier webinars and sustainability-focused events.

WHAT YOU WILL BRING TO THE ROLE:

  • Strong commitment to Sustainable Development and responsible procurement.
  • 3-5 years’ experience in sustainable procurement within international industrial organizations.
  • Deep understanding of the Australia-New Zealand sustainability landscape, legislation, and trends.
  • Strong data analysis and digital skills, with proficiency in Excel.
  • Excellent communication and training abilities, with the ability to simplify complex concepts.
