Job Function: Software & Cloud The role:
As a Software Procurement Consultant, you’ll play a key role in advising clients on strategic software sourcing. You’ll collaborate with clients, vendors, and internal teams to ensure the procurement of solutions that align with business needs, budgets, and goals. Your software licensing, negotiation, and vendor management expertise will drive cost-effective and efficient procurement processes.

What You’ll Do:

  • Work with clients and internal teams to identify software requirements that support business strategies.
  • Evaluate and recommend software vendors based on offerings, reputation, and value for money.
  • Provide expertise on licensing models (SaaS, perpetual, subscription) and recommend the best agreements.
  • Perform cost-benefit analyses to identify savings and improve value.
  • Secure favorable terms with software vendors, including pricing, conditions, and renewals.
  • Oversee contract lifecycles to ensure compliance and manage renewals or amendments.
  • Act as a liaison to optimize vendor performance and address challenges.
  • Keep up-to-date with market trends and emerging technologies to offer informed recommendations.
  • Seek ways to streamline software costs, including license consolidation and optimization.
  • Maintain precise records of procurement activities, contracts, and communications.
  • Support additional duties as assigned by leadership.

What we need to see from you:

  • 2–5 years of experience in IT consulting, software sales, or license sourcing.
  • Strong background in software procurement, vendor management, and contract negotiation.
  • Deep understanding of software licensing models, processes, and supplier ecosystems.
  • Familiarity with software asset management and contract terminology.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship management skills.
  • Analytical approach with a curiosity about problem-solving and conducting cost-benefit analyses.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and procurement software tools.
  • Professional certifications (e.g., CIPS, CSCP, CPCM) are a bonus.
