PROCUREMENT COORDINATOR

Position Summary: As a Procurement Coordinator, you will work with the Procurement Manager and the other Senior Procurement staff and assist with the procurement requirements on the many fast paced projects that DPS performs for its Life Sciences clients. This position will assist with issuing RFXs/ITB packages, bidders’ lists, subcontractor/vendor database, distribution of proposals, and other procurement activities.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Good organization skills
  • Proficiency in MS Office and ability to quickly learn operating system
  • Knowledge of Procore, Highwire and Deltek is a plus
  • Ability to work with minimum supervision
  • Ability to multi-task
  • Ability to be flexible to changes on projects and timelines
  • Research and source new suppliers and grow strategic relationships that align to client and project needs
  • Collaborate with internal and external partners
  • Strong analytical skills and math aptitude
  • Clear communication skills (both verbal and written)
  • Problem solving/troubleshooting skills
  • Basic to Intermediate Excel skill required
  • Maintain vendor and subcontractor database
  • Receive and distribute proposals
  • Review of proposals from a commercial aspect
  • Issue purchase orders and subcontracts
  • Developing proficiency in contract law
  • Maintain status reports for projects
  • Basic understanding of invoice control - review and submittal
  • Sound business acumen

Education/Experience:

  • Degree in business, economics, marketing, or related field preferred, 3-5 years of procurement experience, familiarity with an ERP system such as Deltek, Visual, SAP, Epicor, JDE is added plus
