QUALIFICATIONS
- Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Nursing is required.
- Additional certification in Supply Chain Management or Procurement is preferred.
- Experience:
- Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience in nursing, preferably in homecare or a similar healthcare setting.
- At least 1-2 years of experience in procurement or supply chain management is an advantage.
- Certification:
- Professional certifications such as CIPS, CPSM, or equivalent are a plus.
- Language: Proficiency in English is required; knowledge of Arabic is an advantage.
SKILLS & COMPETENCIES
- Clinical Knowledge: Strong understanding of homecare nursing needs and medical supplies.
- Procurement Expertise: Familiarity with procurement practices and supply chain management in a healthcare setting.
- Communication Skills: Excellent communication and collaboration skills to interact with clinical and supply chain teams effectively.
- Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy in evaluating clinical requirements and managing procurement documentation.

Responsibilities:
JOB PURPOSE
The Procurement Coordinator with a nursing background is responsible for managing the procurement of medical supplies and equipment specific to homecare services. This role ensures that the unique needs of patients and healthcare professionals are met efficiently while maintaining compliance with regulatory standards. The individual will leverage their clinical knowledge to align procurement activities with high-quality patient care.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Clinical Procurement: Identify and source medical supplies, equipment, and services tailored to homecare operations, ensuring they meet clinical and operational requirements.
- Vendor Collaboration: Liaise with suppliers to negotiate contracts and maintain high-quality standards in product delivery.
- Inventory Management: Monitor and manage stock levels of essential medical supplies and ensure timely replenishment to support uninterrupted homecare services.
- Compliance Assurance: Ensure all procured items comply with healthcare regulations and internal quality standards, leveraging nursing expertise to evaluate clinical suitability.
- Team Coordination: Collaborate with nursing and healthcare teams to understand their requirements and provide timely solutions for patient care.
- Education and Training: Provide guidance to nursing staff on the usage and specifications of procured medical supplies and equipment.
- Cost Management: Optimize procurement costs while maintaining quality, identifying opportunities for savings without compromising care standards.
- Issue Resolution: Address supply chain issues, including product quality concerns and delivery delays, ensuring prompt resolution to minimize disruptions.
- Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate procurement records and generate periodic reports to track performance and expenditures.
- Market Insights: Stay updated on market trends and innovations in medical supplies and homecare technologies to make informed procurement decisions.
