Job Description Overall Purpose of Job: The Procurement Data Analyst uses advanced Procurement analytics and enables measurable cost savings and performance improvement by transforming complex Procurement, BOM, and pricing data into actionable insights, recommendations, and standardized decision processes. Improved Cost Savings and value capture: Expanding BOM analysis and addressing part number inconsistencies will unlock cost-saving opportunities. Enhanced Efficiency and standardization: Streamlined reporting and standardized processes will improve efficiency across VAVE, Commodity, and ABP functions. Better Decision-Making: More comprehensive data analysis will enable data-driven decision-making, leading to more effective strategies. Main tasks, roles and responsibilities: Responsible for Creation, Analysis and maintenance of Program BOMs, Price Report Changes, Easy Pickings Opportunities and Cost Analysis for the Procurement Function Maintain reports updated monthly and quarterly, with highlights of trends to management for proper decision making Identifying and pursuing missing data to provide direction to management with proper reports Collect, clean, and analyze large datasets from various sources to identify trends and patterns Develop, maintain, and automate dashboards and reports to monitor key metrics Perform ad-hoc analyses to support projects, initiatives, and leadership decision-making Follow up on Actions agreed on the reports within the Procurement Team Members Procurement VAVE and Product Cost Mgmt (PCM) Analysis of BOMs for New Projects and Projects in Serial, Creation of Program BOMs with fields for analysis and comparisons for optimization and guide to the team of Commodity and VAVE Program BOMs can be used for report to control price changes from Project stages to SOP and VAVE tracking (suggestion is to use the same file for both functions VAVE, Commodity and Project Purchasing) Qualifications Experiences and requirements: College or University degree – education with studies in economics, data science or business administration related topics 5+ years of work experience (3+ years on the field of data analysis/reporting) Excellent MS office skills Proficient in SQL, Excel, and data visualization tools (e.g., SAC, Power BI, Tableau, Looker) Experience with programming languages such as Python or R for data analysis Fluent English, German is a plus Required Skills and Competencies: Strong analytical thinking and structured problem solving Strong communication and presentation skills, adept at simplifying complex data insights for audiences without a technical background.
