Position Overview The Procurement Director will lead strategic sourcing and procurement operations for our data center infrastructure, technology, and services. This role is responsible for developing and executing procurement strategies that ensure cost-effective, reliable, and scalable supply chains critical to data center construction, operations, and expansion. Key Responsibilities Strategic Sourcing & Supplier Management · Develop and implement comprehensive procurement strategies for data center categories: Data center construction projects · Lead vendor qualification, selection, and relationship management for critical infrastructure suppliers · Manage supplier performance metrics related to quality and delivery. Risk Management & Compliance · Develop supply chain redundancy strategies for mission-critical components · Ensure business continuity through multi-region supplier diversification · Ensure compliance with industry standards (Uptime Institute, LEED, ISO) and regulatory requirements Team Leadership & Process Improvement · Lead and develop a team of procurement professionals specializing in data center categories · Implement digital procurement tools and platforms for increased efficiency · Develop and enforce procurement policies and procedures · Drive sustainability initiatives in alignment with corporate ESG goals Qualifications & Experience Required · Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or related field · 10+ years of progressive procurement experience, preferable with experience in data center, factory or mission-critical infrastructure · Strong contract negotiation and supplier management background · Experience with large-scale capital projects and Capex procurement · Knowledge of data center design principles and operational requirements will be added advantages. Preferred · Master's degree or MBA · Professional certifications (RICS, or similar) · Experience in hyperscale or colocation data center environments · Supplier management experience · Familiarity with procurement software (Coupa, SAP Ariba, Oracle) Key Competencies · Strategic thinking with strong analytical and financial acumen · Excellent negotiation and stakeholder management skills · Ability to thrive in fast-paced, high-pressure environments · Strong leadership and team development capabilities · Risk-aware decision-making with mission-critical mindset · Excellent communication skills across technical and executive audiences DayOne is proud to be an equal opportunity employer.
