This is a unique opportunity to play a pivotal role in shaping and executing our procurement strategy, ensuring the function is fully aligned with our business objectives, values, and commitment to sustainability.
Reporting directly to the CFO, you will provide both strategic and operational leadership, building a high-performing procurement team, optimising supplier partnerships, and embedding responsible and ethical practices across our supply chain.

KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS:

Proven track record in a senior procurement leadership role in a business of comparable scale (£100m+ turnover), ideally within a fast-growing or transformational environment.
Demonstrable experience building and restructuring procurement teams.
Expertise in strategic sourcing, supplier management, contract negotiation, and procurement transformation.
Strong commercial acumen and analytical skills.
Proficiency with procurement technologies and systems.
Degree in Business, Supply Chain, Procurement, or related field; professional qualifications (e.g., CIPS) desirable, particularly with a focus on sustainable procurement.
Strong leadership, communication, and influencing skills.
Proven ability to deliver cost savings, drive value creation, and embed sustainability outcomes.

Responsibilities

Develop, communicate, and deliver a comprehensive procurement strategy aligned with growth objectives and values, embedding sustainability and ethics.
Define and track procurement KPIs to measure performance and success.
Lead and restructure the procurement team to support scaling, ensuring clear roles, responsibilities, and succession planning.
Drive transformation across procurement operations by embedding best practices, processes, and systems that enable agility and efficiency.
Collaborate with senior stakeholders (Finance, Operations, IT, Sustainability) to ensure procurement supports core business and sustainability targets.
Build and manage supplier relationships to deliver innovation, value, risk mitigation, and alignment with sustainability standards.
Oversee procurement governance, compliance, and risk management frameworks with a strong focus on ethical and environmental responsibility.
Manage procurement budgets and champion continuous improvement, cost optimisation, and value creation.
Use analytics and market intelligence to drive informed, data-led sourcing decisions.
Negotiate complex, high-value contracts, ensuring sustainability and ethical commitments are embedded and enforced.
Mentor, develop, and inspire procurement talent, fostering a culture of engagement, adaptability, and excellence.
