Job Summary: We are seeking a qualified Procurement Engineer to manage and execute procurement activities for projects within construction-related sectors. The role requires strong technical understanding of materials and services, ensuring timely procurement in line with project specifications, budgets, and company procedures. The ideal candidate will have experience in relevant industries and be capable of working within fast-paced project environments. Key Responsibilities: Manage the full procurement cycle including sourcing, RFQs, bid analysis, negotiations, and purchase order issuance. Review technical specifications and coordinate with engineering and project teams to ensure accurate material and service requirements. Identify and evaluate suppliers, contractors, and service providers based on quality, cost, and delivery performance. Prepare and analyze comparison sheets to support vendor selection and procurement decisions. Negotiate pricing, payment terms, and delivery schedules with vendors to achieve cost efficiency. Ensure timely procurement of materials and services to meet project timelines. Coordinate with logistics and warehouse teams to ensure proper delivery and handling of materials. Monitor supplier performance and resolve any issues related to delays, quality, or compliance. Ensure all procurement activities comply with company policies and project requirements. Maintain accurate procurement records and documentation within ERP systems. Work closely with finance teams regarding invoicing, payments, and budget tracking. Support continuous improvement of procurement processes and supplier management. Industry Background (Preferred): Candidates should have experience in one or more of the following sectors: Construction (excluding pure civil works) Oil & Gas service providers / construction Water sector service providers / construction Electro-mechanical services / maintenance Industrial services providers Testing and inspection service providers Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related field. Maximum of 5 years of experience in procurement (other experience will not be considered). Previous experience specifically as a Procurement Engineer. Experience within relevant industries as listed above. Strong knowledge of procurement processes, vendor management, and contract negotiation. Familiarity with ERP procurement systems such as SAP or similar platforms. Strong communication and negotiation skills. Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines. Notice period: 30 days or less.
