Job Title: Procurement Group Leader - DLF Value Location: Samlesbury - We offer a range of hybrid and flexible working arrangements - please speak to your recruiter about the options for this particular role Salary: £56,766+ (DOE) What you’ll be doing: Support all sourcing and strategic activity for the defined Suppliers including negotiating pricing and contracting terms and conditions as applicable Introduce and influence supply strategies, via continuous improvement, to ensure an affordable, innovative and sustainable solution is being delivered On-board new suppliers and support resource solutions to mitigate risk and resilience Mentor a small team of buyers, and interface across the Air business and with other teams and functions, such as PM, Engineering, Commercial, Finance Engage with internal and external stakeholders to ensure the product or service provision meets the governance requirements of the business and our customers and delivers optimum value for money Maintain supplier relationships and be the primary interface for commercial and contractual issues Travel to various Suppliers as and when required Your skills and experiences: Essential: Negotiation skills – experience of price and contractual terms and conditions negotiations A Continuous Improvement mind-set with the ability to identifying new ideas that drive improvement, problem solving and working collaboratively with others to identify a solution ideally within a Procurement (or similar) environment Detailed understanding and experience of supplier risk and opportunity coordination Working understanding of tool sets and IT such as ERP systems, Microsoft Office programs particularly in Excel. The Procurement Direct Line Feed Value Team: The Procurement DLF Value Team supports the wider Procurement SDU by maintaining key supplier portfolios across all Air platforms and throughout the full aircraft lifecycle. The team focuses on achieving value for money through careful review of supplier pricing, guiding affordability activity, and maintaining supply chain resilience through effective risk coordination. They work closely with suppliers to encourage consistent performance and build constructive working relationships, while also supporting Life Cycle Management and wider governance activity. The team collaborates across functions, contributes to continuous improvement, and provides a supportive environment with opportunities for development.
