Description Procurement Intern – Carrier Management (Summer Internship) Duration: Summer Internship Schedule: Full-time, in-office About the Role This internship is a hands-on introduction to procurement in the logistics world. As a Procurement Intern, you’ll help support and organize our carrier base — the trucking companies we work with to move freight. You’ll learn how carriers are sourced, approved, tracked, and kept in good standing. No prior logistics experience needed — we’ll teach you. Requirements What You’ll Do Help maintain and organize carrier information (contact info, insurance, contracts, etc.) Assist with onboarding new carriers into our systems Communicate with carriers via email or phone to collect required documents Help track carrier performance and basic metrics Support the procurement team with day-to-day tasks and simple projects Work with operations teams to understand which carriers are used and why What We’re Looking For Currently pursuing a degree in Business, Supply Chain, Logistics, Communications, or a related field Comfortable using Excel and basic office tools Organized, detail-oriented, and willing to ask questions Good communication skills (email, phone, internal messaging) Interest in logistics, supply chain, or business operations What You’ll Learn How trucking carriers are sourced and managed The basics of procurement in a logistics environment How pricing, capacity, and performance impact daily operations How multiple teams work together in a fast-paced business Why This Internship Real work that matters Exposure to a critical part of logistics operations Great foundation for future roles in procurement, supply chain, or logistics Mentorship from experienced team members
