We're now seeking a new Procurement Lead for our Supply Chain operations at Bloq.it, focusing on large-scale production planning for our smart locker solutions. As the Lead Buyer, you'll shape our purchasing strategy, ensuring timely and cost-effective material acquisition. You'll work closely with suppliers and internal teams to optimize processes, control costs, and uphold quality standards. What you’ll be doing: Implement a comprehensive sourcing strategy aligned with company objectives while ensuring compliance of the purchasing budgets; Establish long-term relationships with suppliers and partners to ensure a reliable supply chain. Continuously assess supplier performance and implement improvement strategies to enhance quality, delivery, and cost-effectiveness; Ensure that all purchased materials and components meet quality standards and specifications. Resolve quality issues with suppliers promptly and effectively; Maintain optimal inventory levels to meet production and operational demands while minimizing carrying costs; Generate regular reports on purchasing performance and cost analysis; Work closely with cross-functional teams, including production and logistics, to ensure alignment with production schedules and project timelines; Communicate effectively with stakeholders such as Delivery & Maintenance team to address their purchasing needs and concerns. What you’ll bring to the table: Proven experience as a Purchasing Manager, Lead Buyer, Sourcing Manager or a similar role. Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field. MBA is valued; Strong negotiation and contract management skills; Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities; Proficient in English and Portuguese (both written and spoken); Highly organized and process oriented; Strong communication and interpersonal skills; Knowledge of smart locker systems or related technology is a plus; Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic work environment that is constantly changing and adapting; Familiarity with Excel and prior experience in startups or big-tech environments are a plus. It would be great if you would also have: Experience setting up or scaling procurement functions from scratch. Why join us?
