What you'll be doing

• Leading strategic sourcing across key M&E categories including cable, switchgear, pipework, HVAC plant and specialist subcontract packages
• Developing long-term relationships with manufacturers, distributors and key supply chain partners
• Supporting estimating and tender teams with live market pricing, lead times and product availability
• Negotiating supplier agreements, fixed-price periods, rebates and commercial terms
• Managing procurement schedules and call-offs across live construction projects
• Identifying and mitigating supply chain risks, particularly around long-lead equipment and critical materials
• Reviewing M&E specifications and identifying suitable alternative products and value engineering opportunities
• Working closely with project, commercial, estimating and engineering teams to ensure procurement aligns with programme requirements
• Leading supplier pre-qualification and reviewing financial, safety and compliance information
• Monitoring supplier performance, spend, inflation and wider market trends
• Chairing supplier reviews and developing the preferred supplier network
• Supporting the procurement of sustainable and lower-carbon materials where required
• Producing procurement and spend reports for senior management
