Salary: £47,271+ depending upon skills and experience

YOUR SKILLS AND EXPERIENCES:

Essential:

• Major Procurement contracting experience
• Demonstrable experience in using data to drive decision making
• Proven experience in leadership and managing a small team
• Chartered Institute of Procurement & Supply Chain (CIPS) qualification or working towards
• Demonstrable experience in managing supplier performance and improvement activity, including proactive risk and opportunity management.
• Excellent Stakeholder Management experience with the ability to guide and influence

Desirable:

• Experience in Defence or Engineering industries

• Understanding the top-down performance of Supply Chain team and identifying Risks and Opportunities to the Procurement plan
• Leading and undertaking the continuous review of supplier performance against quality, cost and delivery metrics to ensure Submarines’ requirements are met, and work with suppliers to identify and secure improvements and to inform future Supply Chain strategy
• Producing mitigation/exploitation plans for risk and opportunities and ensure, where relevant, the ownership of action plans and residual risk is allocated appropriately
• Supporting delivery of business wide change / improvement projects and advise with respect to impact of change on users of business systems and processes
• Acquiring, analysing and coherently presenting back data – extraction of key meanings from complex data
• Providing Line Management support
