Job title: Procurement Leader – Construction

Salary: Up to £58k depending on skills and experience

YOUR SKILLS AND EXPERIENCES:

Essential:

  • Experience working in supply chain for the construction industry
  • Detailed knowledge of JCT and NEC Construction contracts
  • An understanding of business and procurement approaches, techniques, processes, policy and strategy
  • Experience of contract and supplier performance management

Desirable:

Responsibilities
  • Collaborates with the wider business and external professional teams to develop sourcing and contracting solutions for a 10+ year investment programme, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives
  • Produces and manages procurement plans, supports sourcing strategies with data, identifies risks and liabilities, and ensures compliance with internal and external regulatory requirements
  • Leads end-to-end procurement processes, including tender pack development, evaluation, award, and supplier negotiations to achieve optimal commercial outcomes
  • Supports development and implementation of supply chain strategies, providing commercial and supply chain expertise to delivery programmes
  • Ensures high-quality sourcing and contracting documentation, incorporates life cycle costing principles, and contributes to Make vs Buy decisions during contractor selection
  • Manages stakeholder communication effectively to gain buy-in for procurement strategies, resolve issues, and maintain flexibility across multi-functional projects
  • Reports cost savings and cost avoidances, prioritises workloads, and contributes to bidding activities to meet budgets and business objectives
