Boeing’s Indirect Supply Chain (ISC) Information Digital Technology and Security (IDT&S) organization is currently seeking a Procurement Manager (1st Line) to lead our IT Strategic Sourcing and Contracting team supporting software, infrastructure and/or IT service. This exciting opportunity is available at any of the following Boeing sites: Mesa, AZ; North Charleston, SC: Colorado Springs, CO; Hazelwood, MO or Seattle, WA.
Our Indirect Supply Chain IDT&S is a multi-dimensional organization where you will work with peers and colleagues in other functions across Boeing on exciting sourcing and contract management initiatives. BASIC QUALIFICATIONS (REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE):

  • 5+ years of experience in supplier management and/or supply chain management and/or contracts
  • 5+ years of experience developing & maintaining relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, and business partners
  • 3+ years of experience with strategic sourcing
  • 3+ years of experience leading projects
  • Experience negotiating contracts, terms and conditions, and pricing

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS (DESIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE):

  • 3+ years of experience leading teams
  • 3+ years of experience in teaching, coaching and developing others
  • 3+ years of experience in developing and presenting recommendations to executive level management
  • Experience writing/reviewing (and negotiating) technical statements of work
Responsibilities
  • Act as an authorized agent of the company with responsibility for managing all supplier-related activities and the authority to commit company resources through contracts and agreements
  • Manage employees from multiple Supplier Management and Procurement disciplines performing activities related to the acquisition of goods and services in support of company operations, supplier assessment and performance improvement, management and improvement of supply chain management and processes
  • Develop and execute project and process plans, implement policies and procedure and set operational goals
  • Acquire resources for projects and processes, provide technical management of suppliers and lead process improvements
  • Develop and maintain relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners and direct reports
  • Provide oversight and approval of technical approaches, products and processes
  • Provide oversight regarding negotiation processes and related tools
  • Manage, develop and motivate employees
