Purpose of the Position Lead negotiation and bidding processes with strong analytical and pricing skills. Analyze and mitigate risks while ensuring compliance with processes and regulations. Problem-solving ownership for unexpected procurement challenges. Duties and Responsibilities 1. Team & Project Leadership: Manage the UPD team and act as the primary interface for cross-functional coordination. Oversee project management (track PO/ETA status, procurement records, and timelines). 2. Sourcing & Supplier Management: Conduct local sourcing, vendor qualification, and on-site audits. Strengthen supplier relationships (performance, sustainability, and ethical compliance). 3. Negotiation & Cost Control: Lead terms & price negotiations, bidding processes, and contract management. Perform cost analysis and implement cost-saving strategies. 4. Compliance & Risk Mitigation: Ensure adherence to regulations and company policies. Proactively identify and resolve risks in procurement activities. 5. Reporting & Collaboration: Generate data-driven reports (spend analysis, supplier performance). Collaborate with stakeholders (finance, legal, operations) to align procurement goals. Education and Work Experience Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain, Business, or related field. 5–10 years of experience in Supply Chain Management & Procurement Management. Project management experience preferred Supervision Reports to UPD Manager. Working Conditions Office-based role in a fast-paced environment. Must be available for after-hours emergencies and work overtime to meet critical deadlines. Updated: July 2025 Skills Communication: Fluency in Mandarin Chinese is preferred due to frequent interactions with suppliers and internal teams in Taiwan/China. (listening/speaking/reading/writing); cross-functional leadership and collaboration. Technical: Advanced Excel (data analysis, macros), PowerPoint, procurement software.
