Job Summary:   The Procurement Manager leads procurement strategies to ensure reliable, cost-effective, and compliant sourcing of materials and services for generic pharmaceutical manufacturing and distribution. This role partners with Supply Chain, Quality, Manufacturing, Finance, Regulatory, Legal, and Compliance teams to support uninterrupted supply, strong supplier management, and regulatory adherence. The position oversees procurement systems, processes, and a team of professionals, while supporting strategic sourcing through spend analytics, reporting, contract oversight, requisition-to-pay operations, and continuous process optimization in compliance with company policies and internal controls.   Reporting Relationships                                       * This position has 1 direct report.   Essential Functions:   Key Responsibilities:   * Develop and execute sourcing strategies for raw materials, APIs, excipients, packaging material, and indirect spending in compliance with GMP and regulatory requirements. * Lead supplier selection, qualification, contracting, and negotiations to optimize cost, terms, service levels, and supply continuity. * Build and manage supplier relationships; monitor performance across cost, quality, delivery, and service, driving continuous improvement and risk mitigation. * Partner with Quality and Regulatory teams to ensure supplier compliance with cGMP, FDA, and audit requirements. * Collaborate cross-functionally with Planning, Manufacturing, Finance, Quality, and Regulatory team to align procurement with demand, budgets, and internal controls. * Oversee end-to-end procurement operations, including requisitions, purchase orders, contracts, approvals, and ERP system execution. * Drive process improvements, standard operating procedures, and global procurement systems, training, and controls. * Develop and manage procurement analytics, dashboards, spend analysis, savings tracking, and sourcing pipeline prioritization. * Identify operational risks, cost pressures, and improvement opportunities; prepare executive-level financial and business presentations. * Lead, mentor, and develop procurement staff while supporting strategic sourcing and special initiatives as needed.     Specialized Skills and Knowledge:               * Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, Business, Finance, Accounting, Engineering, Life Sciences, or a related field. * 5+ years of progressive procurement, sourcing, or procurement operations experience, preferably in pharmaceutical, generics, biotech, or regulated manufacturing environments. * 3+ years of experience with procurement systems, ERP platforms (e.g., SAP), supplier analytics, and supplier management. * Demonstrated experience managing suppliers under cGMP and regulatory oversight. * Strong negotiation, contract management, and supplier relationship management skills. * Solid understanding of pharmaceutical supply chains, including APIs and regulated materials. * Advanced analytical skills with strong proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and spend analysis. * Proven ability to manage multiple priorities independently in a fast-paced, regulated environment. * Excellent communication, organization, and cross-functional stakeholder management skills. * Prior people management or team leadership experience preferred; global or shared services experience a plus.   Key Competencies:   * Multitasking * Flexibility * Versatility   Physical Demands/Factors: Work is primarily sedentary in nature; routine bending, walking, lifting and reaching are required.   The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
