BAM Infrastructure are currently involved in a major nuclear new build project in the South West (Hinkley Point C, near Bridgwater in Somerset), delivering reinforced concrete structures, roads and complex multi-network installations. Due to a growing workload, we are now requiring a Procurement Manager to join our team in Bridgwater.

YOUR MISSION

  • Preparation of supply chain management data and procurement reports for presentation to the Senior Leadership Team including carbon intensity reporting in the supply chain.
  • Provide assurance support to the BAM UK & Ireland Tender Desk function
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills and ability to build and maintain relationships.
  • A natural comfort in working in a collaborative manner and a desire to seek opportunities to develop synergies across our business
  • A good awareness of supply chain vendors, for both subcontract and materials procurement including through international sourcing opportunities
  • Promote and support Category Management and drive compliance through better use of framework agreements and preferred suppliers including seeking appropriate opportunities through regional and SME supply chain networks.
  • Support and enhance business initiatives including DFMA and utilise digital technologies within the supply chain to improve efficiency and productivity.
  • Ensure the procurement function is engaged and accountable at every stage of the project lifecycle
  • Ensure the supply chain works collaboratively to help deliver the requirements of the Sustainability Strategy
  • Expertise in supply chain resource capacity analysis to support demand planning
  • Ensure financial resilience and health checks are undertaken within the supply chain throughout the procurement process
  • Lead the Supplier Engagement within the region as part of the up-scaling strategy to deliver the portfolio
  • Promote a standardised Divisional approach to the procurement process
  • Ability to conduct effective communications at all levels within the business
  • The ability to build, maintain and influence relationships at all levels of the organisation with ease
  • Ensure effective negotiations are conducted with the Supply Chain
  • Embraces collaborative working and has a desire to seek opportunities to develop synergies across the Division
