Procurement Manager Location: Carmel, IN Type: Full-Time Procurement Manager– Carmel, IN The Procurement Manager is responsible for developing and executing sourcing strategies that ensure reliable supply, cost competitiveness, quality performance, and risk mitigation across direct and indirect spend categories. This role drives supplier performance, negotiates contracts, and partners cross-functionally with Operations, Engineering, Finance, and Logistics to support production, capital projects, and growth initiatives. The ideal candidate combines strategic sourcing expertise with strong operational discipline and supplier relationship management capabilities. Key Responsibilities Strategic Sourcing & Cost Management Develop and execute category strategies aligned with operational and financial goals Lead competitive sourcing events (RFP/RFQ/RFI) and supplier negotiations Drive year-over-year cost improvements and total cost of ownership optimization Support annual budgeting and forecast accuracy for material spend Supplier Management & Performance Identify, qualify, and onboard new suppliers Establish supplier scorecards (cost, quality, delivery, EHS, responsiveness) Lead quarterly business reviews (QBRs) with key suppliers Mitigate supply risk through dual sourcing and contingency planning Operational Execution Ensure uninterrupted supply of raw materials, MRO, capital equipment, and services Partner with Operations and Planning to align procurement with production schedules Oversee purchase order accuracy and contract compliance Improve procurement processes, systems, and data integrity Cross-Functional Leadership Collaborate with Engineering on specifications and capital projects Partner with Finance on cost tracking, accruals, and working capital targets Support EHS and Quality requirements in supplier selection and compliance Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, or related field 7–10+ years of procurement experience in manufacturing or industrial environment Demonstrated success in contract negotiation and supplier performance management Experience with ERP/MRP systems (SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, etc.) Strong financial acumen and cost modeling capability Excellent negotiation and stakeholder management skills Preferred: CPSM or CPM certification Experience in capital project procurement Experience in turnaround or high-growth environments Key Competencies Strategic thinking with operational discipline Data-driven decision making Risk management mindset Results-oriented and accountable Strong communicator across technical and executive audiences Success Metrics Material cost reduction (% YoY) On-time supplier delivery performance Inventory turns and working capital improvement Supply continuity (zero production disruptions) Contract compliance rate Why Bolder Industries?
