Description
Responsibilities: Negotiate with carriers to get competitive contract rates and implement long-term freight agreement. Manage service providers, local agents, etc. to procure competitive products and services for Asia-South America/Asia-Europe trade lanes. Respond to daily rate inquiries, engage in RFQ/Tender, and conduct rate benchmarking. Develop pricing proposals for new products and services and provide quotations to overseas agents. Coordinate with external and internal parties for capacity/space issues, especially the seasonal capacity requirements. Establish, monitor and update market intelligence in Aisa by analyzing market trends, carrier rates, and competitor pricing to optimize rate structures. Maintain good relationship with Carriers and vendors. Requirements: Minimum 5 years of ocean procurement, global forwarder experience preferred Network with carriers at local and top managerial level is a plus Strong knowledge of procurement & capacity management High degree of procurement and pricing skills at a regional level Proficient in oral & written English Good communication & negotiation skills, able to work under pressure
