Seeking an experienced Procurement Manager to work in a busy procurement team within State Government

YOUR NEW COMPANY

A major state government department based in Perth CBD, are seeking an experienced Procurement Manager to manage procurement activities and lead a busy team. This role will be initially offered on a temporary engagement for 3-months, with the possibility of extension offered. You will be required to work full-time hours and will be paid competitively.

YOUR NEW ROLE

As the Procurement Manager, you will be responsible for:

• Developing and managing high risk contracts, including managing procurement planning, tendering and contract formation
• Conducting business planning and scope related to projects
• Mentor, coach and develop team members as needed
• Oversee the procurement activities across the wider team
• Provide specialist advice to clients, contractors and suppliers around procurement processes and contract development / management issues
• Prepare reports and deliver presentations related to procurement matters
