SKILLS & REQUIREMENTS

· Minimum 2 years of experience in procurement or supply chain management, preferably in the food, spice, FMCG, or manufacturing sectors.
· Proven ability to develop procurement strategies that contribute to cost savings and operational excellence.
· Strong negotiation, communication, and analytical skills.
· High attention to detail with a proactive problem-solving approach.
· Proficiency in inventory management systems and Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel).
· Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Logistics, or a related discipline (Master’s degree or relevant certifications such as CIPS preferred).
· Knowledge of Australian import regulations and logistics practices is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

THE ROLE

As the Procurement Manager, you will take ownership of end-to-end procurement operations, focusing on strategic sourcing, cost control, and supplier relationship management. Your primary goal will be to ensure the seamless procurement, storage, and distribution of goods to support the company’s business objectives while maintaining the highest quality standards.
This is a critical leadership role requiring commercial acumen, industry insight, and the ability to drive performance in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

· Develop, implement, and oversee purchasing, warehousing, and distribution strategies aligned with company goals.
· Prepare and execute plans to maintain optimal stock levels at minimal holding cost while ensuring supply continuity.
· Evaluate supplier performance and negotiate contracts to secure quality goods at competitive prices and reliable delivery terms.
· Analyse inventory trends and coordinate with warehousing teams to optimise space, reduce wastage, and enhance operational efficiency.
· Operate and manage inventory tracking systems to monitor movement of supplies and finished products.
· Collaborate with internal departments such as Sales, Production, and Logistics to forecast demand and plan procurement cycles.
· Manage documentation related to procurement, including purchase orders, stock records, and distribution reports.
· Lead, train, and supervise procurement and warehouse staff, fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
· Ensure compliance with industry standards, safety regulations, and import/export requirements.
