JOB OVERVIEW

Responsible for developing and implementing procurement strategies, supplier relationships, and cost-saving initiatives from the ground up. The ideal candidate will be a proactive leader who can build processes, negotiate supplier contracts, and drive efficiencies while ensuring the seamless procurement of materials, equipment, and services to support our operations.

  • Proficiency in ERP or procurement software
  • Ability to analyze data, manage budgets, and drive cost efficiencies

EDUCATION

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.

WORK EXPERIENCE

  • Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in procurement, purchasing, or supply chain management, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial setting.
  • Prior experience building or leading a procurement function is a strong plus.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Sitting, standing, walking and light lifting will be required
  • Use of hands repetitively to type, handle, and operate standard office equipment will be required
  • Employee will work under typical office conditions
  • All employees must pass drug test
    Job Type: Full-time
    Pay: $85,000.00 - $95,000.00 per year

Responsibilities
  • Department Development: Create and structure the Procurement Department, including defining processes, policies, and procurement strategies to support business operations. Manage and supervise members of the procurement team.
  • Supplier Management: Identify, evaluate, and develop relationships with vendors and suppliers to ensure competitive pricing, quality standards, and on-time deliveries.
  • Procurement Strategy: Develop sourcing strategies that optimize cost savings, quality, and efficiency while mitigating supply chain risks.
  • Contract Negotiation: Negotiate terms, pricing, and contracts with suppliers to maximize value for the company.
  • Inventory & Cost Control: Collaborate with Production, Operations, and Finance teams to maintain optimal inventory levels, track procurement costs, and identify cost reduction opportunities.
  • Compliance & Risk Management: Ensure all purchasing activities comply with company policies, legal requirements, and industry standards.
  • System Implementation: Research and implement procurement tools or ERP systems to streamline purchasing operations and reporting.
  • Cross-Department Collaboration: Work closely with department heads to understand procurement needs and align purchasing strategies with business objectives.
  • Performance Monitoring: Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) for suppliers and purchasing activities to ensure efficiency, reliability, and cost-effectiveness.
