Roles & Responsibilities

  • Prepare and process Purchase Requisitions (PR), RFQs, and Purchase Orders (PO).
  • Source and evaluate qualified suppliers for oilfield materials, equipment, and services.
  • Obtain and compare quotations based on price, quality, technical compliance, delivery, and payment terms.
  • Review technical specifications, datasheets, drawings, and material requirements before purchasing.
  • Coordinate with Engineering, Production, Maintenance, Projects, QA/QC, and other departments to confirm requirements.
  • Negotiate with suppliers to achieve competitive pricing and favorable commercial terms.
  • Ensure procurement activities comply with company procedures, approved budgets, and client requirements.
  • Follow up with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials and equipment.
  • Monitor long-lead items and proactively identify potential delivery delays.
  • Evaluate supplier performance, including quality, delivery, pricing, and service.
  • Develop alternative and approved suppliers for critical materials.
  • Coordinate with QA/QC for inspection, testing, and material certification requirements.
  • Handle technical and commercial clarifications with suppliers.
  • Coordinate with stores/warehouse for material receipt and resolve discrepancies.
  • Maintain accurate procurement records, supplier databases, quotation comparisons, and purchasing reports.
  • Support cost-saving initiatives and identify opportunities for procurement optimization.

Desired Candidate Profile

Required Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor's Degree/Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related field.
  • 8–12 years of procurement experience, preferably in oil & gas, oilfield services, EPC, manufacturing, or engineering companies.
  • Good knowledge of technical and commercial procurement.
  • Experience in supplier negotiation and cost reduction.
  • Knowledge of ERP/procurement systems.
  • Good knowledge of MS Excel and procurement documentation.
  • Strong communication, negotiation, coordination, and follow-up skills.
  • Knowledge of UAE oil & gas industry and ADNOC requirements would be an advantage.
